Roma killed by unknown gunmen in France

One man was killed and two others wounded when hooded gun men opened fire in a hall in the southern French city of Lyon where Roma were holding a party to celebrate a baptism, police reported on Sunday, May 4. According to the police, between thirty and forty people were present when the four gunmen broke into the hall at about 1 a.m. and started shooting. Most of those present had fled by the time police arrived on the scene. Investigators said later they were following several leads. (Roma National Congress)
