Internships

The ERRC’s Romani internship programme provides Roma rights activists with training at the ERRC office in Budapest and may be followed up with support for ERRC-intern joint community-based initiatives. Internships are offered on a competitive basis for between three and 12 months to Romani individuals. Interns are provided with accommodation and a cost of living stipend while they work with ERRC staff members in Budapest. Interns receive professional guidance from their trainer and work together with one or more of the other ERRC programmes (legal, research and advocacy, media and communications, as well as administration). Requirements of the programme include a good command of English, both written and spoken, the ability to work in a diverse, challenging environment and to work independently. Applicants should be 20 years of age or older. Applications are requested intermittently through open calls. Please check our employment and internship page for information on current internship opportunities.
