Human Rights Education

ERRC Human Rights Education (HRE) activities aim first and foremost to empower Romani activists. Other target groups include Romani university students of law and public administration and targeted groups within wider society including such as lawyers, judges, police officers, teachers, NGO activists, and members of public administration.

Through its HRE programme, the ERRC aims to raise human rights awareness among the Romani community and to empower Romani individuals to fight for equality through the acquisition of knowledge, understanding and experience in human rights and international law human rights law instruments.

HRE activities include: 1. Dedicated internships for Romani activists; 2. Training workshops for Roma and non-Roma; and 3. Producing stand-alone training materials which are made publicly available.
