Jan Stejskal, Human Rights Monitor (Czech Republic)

Jan holds a BA in Sociology and Media Studies, and a Ph.D. in Law and Legal Science from Masaryk University in Brno. He worked as an election campaign manager, as a lecturer, and as a coordinator of the Together to School coalition, promoting equal access to education, and the implementation of the ERRC's legal work in this area in the Czech Republic. He also worked as a country facilitator for the Roma Education Fund and as a lawyer for the Ombudspersons Office. Jan has contributed to numerous reports related to Roma integration, and published articles on human rights and non-discrimination. He is based in Prague.
