Eugen Ghită, Human Rights Monitor (Romania)

Eugen holds a BA in Law, and a MA in European Administration, Institutions, and Public Policy. He is currently a PhD student at the University of Babeş Bolyai Cluj, in the Faculty of Sociology. Eugen has worked for over ten years with projects aimed towards helping Romani and socially disadvantaged people in Romania, through his work as a human rights monitoring expert and coordinator for a number of well-established NGOs. Eugen is also the founder and president of the Roma Lawyers Association – RomaJust, which develops incubator programs for solo, small firm, and non-profit Romani practitioners as well as providing information about how these programs contribute to enhancing justice through improved access to law. Eugen joined the ERRC in 2019.
