Advancing Roma Visibility

The ERRC is a consultant to a two-year project implemented by Transitions Online, the  Foundation Mediacenter for Media and Civil Society, the Kali Sara Roma Information Center, the Novi Sad School of Journalism and the Macedonian Institute for Media aimed at increasing the quantity, quality, and accessibility of media content for and on Romani communities in the Western Balkans. The project, co-funded by the European Union, aims to permanently increase the visibility of the problems, rights and needs of Roma and will contribute to the inclusion of Roma in mainstream society.

In 2011 the ERRC will research and analyse efforts to increase the visibility of Central European Romani communities through the media and the impact of Romani and other rights organisations on media coverage through reporting, outreach and training.
