No Arrests After Romani Man Beaten to Death in Czech Republic

Budapest, 21 October 2016: The ERRC has learned that no suspects have been detained, nor have the police pressed charges after a Romani man was killed in a pizzeria in Žatec on 18th October.

Roma Denied Electricity in Serbia: Discriminatory Collective Punishment for Roma Paying Through Collective Meter

Budapest, 14 October 2016: The electricity supply to a majority Romani settlement in Serbia has been cut without notice, and with winter fast approaching. So far there have been no signs of the power returning to the hundred family homes in Crvena Zvezda any time soon.

European Court’s decision in Roma eviction case a missed opportunity concerning an urgent issue, rights organizations say

Budapest, London, 11 October 2016: Minority Rights Group International (MRG) and the European Roma Rights Centre (ERRC) express disappointment with today’s decision of the European Court of Human Rights in Bagdonavicius and Others v Russia, concerning the eviction of six Roma families living in Russia.
